Trimming the Wick: Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to about ¼ inch (0.6 cm) in length. This helps prevent excessive flickering, soot, and uneven burning. Trim the wick after each burn to maintain its proper length.

First Burn: When lighting your candle for the first time, allow it to burn until the wax pool reaches the edges of the container. This ensures an even burn and prevents tunneling (when the candle burns straight down the center).

Subsequent Burns: Try not to burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. It's advisable to extinguish the flame if it reaches the bottom ½ inch (1.3 cm) of wax to prevent overheating the container.

Safe Burning: Always place the candle on a heat-resistant surface and away from drafts, flammable materials, children, and pets. Ensure it's on a stable and leveled surface to prevent accidental tipping.

Avoid Moving Candles While Lit: Wait for the wax to cool and solidify before moving a burning or recently extinguished candle to prevent spills and accidents.

Extinguishing the Flame: Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame to avoid splattering wax and to maintain the wick’s integrity. DO NOT use lid to suffocate the flame as this will make your candle smell like soot and could cause a fire.

Avoid Burning in Drafty Areas: Drafts can cause uneven burning and excessive flickering, leading to potential safety hazards and decreased burn time.

Storage: Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources to prevent warping or melting.

Reusing Containers: Once your candle has burned down, you can clean the container with warm, soapy water to remove any remaining wax residue. Avoid using abrasive materials that could scratch the container.

Discontinue Use at ½ Inch (1.3 cm) Wax Level: Cease burning the candle when there is approximately ½ inch (1.3 cm) of wax left to prevent overheating the container. Never burn a candle all the way to the bottom.
